We've been doing this for 50 years, so we've learned how to keep things simple.
Here's what you need to know before you rent.
Rates & Rental Periods
- Most equipment is available by the 2-hour, 4-hour, daily, weekly, and monthly rate. Some equipment is available hourly. Some is daily-rate only. Ask when you call.
- Weekend Special: Pick up Friday afternoon after 1:00 PM, return before Monday at 8:00 AM — you’re charged for one day.
- Monthly rates are charged as a flat monthly rate — not four weeks of weekly rates. That’s real savings for long-term renters.

Valid Photo ID
Bring it. We’re not guessing who you are.
Credit or Debit Card on File
Required to hold the rental and cover any charges that come up during your term. Ted’s can charge up to 150% of an item’s replacement cost if something goes sideways, so keep that in mind.
Proof of Insurance
Ted’s includes a Limited Damage Waiver at checkout. It covers 80% of the first $5,000 in repair or replacement costs on most items. It doesn’t cover batteries, keys, glass, tires, tracks, booms, belts, chains, knobs, or hoses. And it’s not insurance, so don’t treat it like one.
Prepayment
Estimated rent is due upfront. It’s non-refundable, so know what you need before you commit.

You’re ready to rent. Reserve online or swing by the counter, and we’ll get you geared up and out the door.
Equipment Ready to Work
Every rental leaves our yard fueled, oiled, and in working condition. If you experience a mechanical issue on the job, call us immediately. We’ll come to you or swap out the equipment as fast as we can — we won’t leave you standing on a job site.
Delivery & Pickup
Delivery and pickup service is available across La Plata County. We’ll schedule your delivery window at the time of reservation — no guessing, no waiting around. Flat-rate pricing keeps it simple. Call us or request a quote when you book.
